EARLY DISMISSALS – Notes for early dismissals should be handed into the Attendance Office before school starts. All notes will be verified and passes issued upon verification. Early dismissal notes should contain the following information:
 
         1.   Student’s full name
         2.   Time of dismissal
         3.   Reason for leaving
Students returning to school should sign back in at the Attendance Office.
 
Please Note: Parents, if you call in to dismiss a student for an emergency appointment, please sign student out at the Attendance Office. Students being dismissed via the Clinic, because of sickness need to pick up an early dismissal pass and be signed out from the Clinic.
 
A student who leaves school without checking out in the Attendance Office will receive an unexcused absence for each class missed and will be subject to disciplinary action.
Late notes or telephone calls will not excuse an absence.
 
TARDIES – students who are tardy to school and have an excuse note need to sign in with the Attendance Office. 
For Unexcused Tardies, students should report to their Alpha Administrator. A note from a parent/guardian stating a valid reason for being late will be necessary within 2 days of said tardy to be excused.
 
 
ABSENCES  - Students who are absent from school need to bring  a note from a parent/guardian within 2 days upon returning to school. Absences may be called in the day of absence only and will be excused upon verification. Notes should state clearly:
 
1.      Student’s full name
2.      Exact dates of absence
3.      Reason for absence
 
 
PRE-APPROVED ABSENCES – Student should present a note from a parent/guardian to the Attendance Office at least one week prior to the absence, stating student’s name, dates of absence and reason for absence. When the absence has been approved by Administration, the student will receive a form from the attendance office to inform his/her teachers of the upcoming absence.   The student will be responsible for acquiring all of his/her assignments.
