The Center for Information Technology
The iT Program is in its 10th year of operation and was one of the first such programs in Virginia to offer such a wide variety of specialized technology curriculums. Forest Park is a comprehensive high school offering a wide range of classes including a full set of Advanced Placement (AP) college courses. Students who are thinking about being a part of the iT program must balance learning information technology skills and pushing themselves to stretch to take AP classes.

Bridging The Gap
Bridging the Gap events are put on by iT students and staff and are part of the VA STAR State Program. Schools and families in need of computers place a request to Forest Park and our SWAT students will build them. At evening events our students educate the families and and then donate the computer to them. Along with BTG, students take action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.

Virginia Star
The Virginia Student Training and Refurbishment program (or VA STAR) is a collaborative effort of the Secretaries of Education and Technology and the Departments of Education and General Services to introduce Virginia's students to the field of IT repair. The Forest Park High School IT program has successfully opened the doors of the IT field to students in Prince William County. "Secretary Morris and I were incredibly impressed with the results of Forest Park's SWAT Program and related outreach efforts to both educate tomorrow's technology–based workforce and close gaps in the digital divide."
