Mr. Richard Martinez has been named the new principal of Forest Park High School. Mr. Martinez has worked in education for more than 20 years, beginning as a math teacher and more recently serving as assistant principal of Freedom High School. He is eager to begin leading Forest Park. His complete biography can be found here.  

El Sr. Richard Martínez ha sido nombrado nuevo director de la escuela secundaria Forest Park. El Sr. Martínez ha trabajado en educación durante más de 20 años, comenzando como maestro de matemáticas y desempeñándose hasta hace poco como vice director de la escuela secundaria Freedom. School Announcements
2014-15 Student first period locator cards
Student first period locator cards will be mailed home on Thursday, August 28th. In addition, first period locator information will be posted outside of the front office on Friday, August 29th at 7pm. Students will receive their full schedules in class on Tuesday, Sept. 2. All schedule change requests had to be submitted by June 19th for consideration. 
Students who are driving to school
Students who will be driving to school but have not yet purchased a parking permit, are asked to park in the overflow lot across the street ONLY and NOT in the student lot.  This is only authorized until Friday, 12 September 2014.  Those student's who park their vehicles in the student lot without a current parking permit, will be towed at the owner's expense.  After 12 September, ALL students who drive to school must possess a current parking permit in their vehicle and be assigned a parking space.  Any questions, please see Mr. Price in Security.
2015 Senior Portraits
Senior Portraits will be conducted in the auditorium during the summer and the fall. Seniors, please be sure to attend one sitting--even if you decide to purchase your portraits through another vendor (senior ID cards are processed during these sessions). There is a minimum sitting fee and walk-ins are welcome! The following are the dates for senior portraits: Senior Portraits: June 23-27: Senior Make-up: August 11-12: Senior Make-up 2: September 25-26
Challenge Index Ranks Forest Park in Top 3%
Forest Park ranks 41 in Virginia and 603 in the nation, according to The Washington Post's list of America’s Most Challenging High Schools (Challenge Index), putting it in the top 3% in the nation.
